Adopt-A-Wall

The Adopt-A-Wall program partners with concerned Rosemead residents who volunteer to assist with the abatement of unsightly graffiti. Residents who participate in this program conduct the removal of the graffiti from the wall they adopt. How does it work?

A Representative from the Public Safety Department will:

  • Complete an Adopt-A-Wall Application
  • Meet with the resident to discuss the problem area
  • Provide basic instructions and expectations of the participants
  • Supply the correct paint and equipment
  • Re-supply and communicate with the resident as necessary to eradicate graffiti

The Resident/Adopt-A-Wall Participant will:

  • Use the paint and equipment to immediately paint out graffiti from the designated locations
  • Complete an Adopt-A-Wall Log and provide it to the Public Safety Business Unit
  • Communicate with the City as necessary to eradicate graffiti
  • NEVER attempt to detain or stop a vandal, but only call Temple Sheriff's Station at (626) 285-7171
  • Never attempt to paint curbs, poles, or sidewalks to remove graffiti
