TO DISCUSS CRIME PREVENTION, COMMUNITY BEAUTIFICATION AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

The City of Rosemead’s next Community Area Watch program is scheduled for Thursday, September 19th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Temple Intermediate School, 8510 Fern Avenue, Rosemead.

To best serve residents, the City has been divided into nine (9) community areas with a meeting being hosted in each area once during the calendar year. The September 19th meeting serves Area 8 (for residents bound by East of San Gabriel Boulevard, South of Garvey Avenue, North of Rush Street, and West of the Rio Hondo River Bed).

The purpose of the Community Area Watch meeting is to:
• Educate the community;
• Provide crime statistics and crime trends in the community;
• Share information on personal safety, securing your property, and to help prevent you from becoming a victim to a vehicle or home burglary;
• Community Beautification through recycling; and
• Discuss the importance of Emergency Preparedness and the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and much more.

Dinner and raffle prizes will be provided for participants. The City of Rosemead Public Safety Department strives to make Rosemead a safer place to live. You can help!
