OF PUBLIC WORKS – NOYA WANG
The City of Rosemead is thrilled to introduce our new Director of Public Works, Noya Wang! With her extensive experience in civil engineering and project management, Noya is a true superstar in the field. We're lucky to have her on our team, and we can't wait to see the amazing things she'll accomplish for our city.
Noya is a licensed Civil Engineer and Structural Engineer in the State of California with more than a decade of experience in the design, construction, and project management of public and private infrastructure and capital improvement projects totaling more than 12 billion in overall construction costs. Prior to joining Rosemead, Noya held management roles in large government agencies including the City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works and Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts. Committed to the principles of public service, she actively engages in community betterment through her roles in various city and county boards and commissions. She anticipates leveraging her expertise and leadership to spearhead essential infrastructure projects and secure increased funding for the City of Rosemead, ushering in a new era of modernization and growth.
Noya received both her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Currently residing in the neighboring City of Alhambra, Noya has a deep connection to the City of Rosemead, which she considers not only her workplace but also her home. In her free time, she loves doing STEM activities with children, especially young girls, nurturing their curiosity in science and engineering and inspiring them to pursue careers in engineering and public service.
From upgrading our infrastructure to securing more funding, Noya is the driving force that will take Rosemead to even greater heights. Let's give her a warm welcome and get ready to witness some serious transformation!
