Finding you have extra time on your hands? Many people turn to gardening, as it not only adds beauty to your property but is also a healthy and relaxing way to pass the time. The City of Rosemead’s Beautification Commission is proud to announce the 8th Annual Beautification Awards, which recognizes residents and businesses for the improvements and maintenance of their properties that enhance Rosemead’s beauty and livability. You are welcome to nominate your own home or a neighbor’s property, or a business that beautifully stands out in your community. The criteria for nominations can be based on a combination of elements, including general maintenance and landscaping. To continue safe practices and social distancing, we will conduct a Virtual Beautification Awards

Please note the following important information:

• HOW TO SUBMIT:  Nominations can be submitted by directly sending an email to [email protected], with a name, address, phone #, and a minimum of three (3) but no more than five (5) photos of the property (clear images and good angles are important). All submittals must be emailed. Submittals will NOT be accepted via the City’s social media outlets (e.g., Facebook, Instagram). The deadline to apply is Thursday, June 3^rd, by 5:00 p.m.

• JUDGING PROCESS:  The Beautification Commission will judge each nominated property based on the photos submitted. The winners will be announced at the June 9, 2021 Beautification Commission meeting. The winning recipients will be presented with a Beautification Award lawn sign to display on their property, along with other prizes, and will be recognized in our City’s social media outlets.
