JOIN US FOR THE COMMUNITY AREA WATCH MEETING ON JUNE 20TH TO DISCUSS CRIME PREVENTION, COMMUNITY BEAUTIFICATION AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
The City of Rosemead’s next Community Area Watch program is scheduled for Thursday, June 20th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Emerson Elementary School Cafeteria, 7544 E. Emerson Place, Rosemead.
To best serve residents, the City has been divided into nine (9) community areas with a meeting being hosted in each area once during the calendar year. The June 20th meeting serves Area 5 (For residents bound by San Gabriel Boulevard, Garvey Avenue, New Avenue, and South of the I-10 Freeway). The purpose of the Community Area Watch meeting is to:
• Educate the community;
• Provide crime statistics and crime trends in the community;
• Share information on personal safety, securing your property, and to help prevent you from becoming a victim to a vehicle or home burglary;
• Community Beautification through recycling; and
• Discuss the importance of Emergency Preparedness and the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and much more.
