JOIN US FOR THE COMMUNITY AREA WATCH MEETING ON AUGUST 15TH
TO DISCUSS CRIME PREVENTION, COMMUNITY BEAUTIFICATION
AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

The City of Rosemead’s next Community Area Watch meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 15th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Garvey Intermediate School Cafeteria, 2720 N. Jackson Avenue, Rosemead.

To best serve residents, the City has been divided into nine (9) community areas with a meeting being hosted in each area once during the calendar year. The August 15th meeting serves Area 7 (for residents bound by San Gabriel Boulevard, Graves Avenue, New Avenue, and Garvey Avenue). The purpose of the Community Area Watch meeting is to:

• Educate the community;
• Provide crime statistics and crime trends in the community;
• Share information on personal safety, securing your property, and to help prevent you from becoming victim to a vehicle or home burglary;
• Discuss the importance of Emergency Preparedness and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and much more.

Dinner and raffles will be provided for participants. The City of Rosemead Public Safety Department strives to make Rosemead a safer place to live, work, shop and recreate. You can help! For more information, contact Public Safety Supervisor Mandy Wong at (626) 569-2168 or [email protected].
