Rosemead Appoints New Assistant City Manager

Finalist for the Most Business Friendly City Award

We are excited to announce that the City of Rosemead is a finalist for the “2019 Most Business-Friendly City in Los Angeles County Award,” which is judged annually by the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC). Rosemead is a finalist for the population 50,000 and over category based on several criteria, which included: demonstrating priority commitment to economic development and quality jobs; excellence in programs and services designed to facilitate business entry, expansion and retention; competitive business tax rates and fee structures; availability of economic incentives; effective communication with and about business clients - city staff communicates in Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, Chiu chow/Teochew, and Taishan), Vietnamese, Korean, Thai, Romanian, Tagalog; and through Rosemead’s ‘Round the Clock’, Facebook, Instagram, Nixle, and Twitter, providing residents, businesses and visitors channels to identify problems with a Virtual City Hall 24/7.

On October 22, 2019, the LAEDC will present the City Council with a plaque to honor the City of Rosemead as a finalist for the “2019 Most Business-Friendly City in Los Angeles County Award”. One winner will be announced live at the 24th Annual Eddy Awards on Thursday, November 7, 2019, at the JW Marriott at LA Live.
