Covid-19 Update

In response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and following the most recent Los Angeles County Department of Public and Health order, and the Mayor’s Safer at Home directives, beginning on May 8, select non-essential businesses may open with a curbside pick-up that follows physical distancing and infection control guidelines. These include bookstores, clothing stores, sporting goods stores, music stores, toy stores, and car dealership showrooms that practice the same guidelines.

In addition, outdoor parks and recreation facilities will be permitted to open as long as everyone adheres to physical distancing and infection control guidelines. These include golf courses (not including pro-shops or dine-in restaurants), trails, trailheads, and parks. For more information about the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation reopening golf courses and trails, please click here. Please note: Parks’ playgrounds, picnic shelters, basketball courts, and tennis courts will not be open and access is prohibited. Everyone attending City parks must practice social distancing and wear face coverings.

While we are making good progress, it is important to remember that the COVID-19 pandemic is still active. Residents, business owners, and employees must observe physical distancing requirements and prevention techniques. This includes:

  • Wearing a face covering whenever you leave home
  • Washing your hands for at least 20 seconds throughout the day
  • Staying six feet away from people who do not live with you
