Scheduled Power Outage at the intersection of

Rosemead Boulevard and Valley Boulevard

Southern California Edison (SCE) has scheduled a power outage to replace a deteriorated pole at the intersection of Rosemead Boulevard and Valley Boulevard. The work will begin on Saturday, September 19th, at 10:00 p.m. through Sunday, September 20th, at 6:00 a.m.  SCE sent notices to the 796 customers that will be impacted by this power outage.

Per SCE, if you are enrolled to receive outage alerts, you should have received an email, text, or phone call. SCE crews will be working to replace the above-mentioned pole and other key components to ensure grid reliability. Safely providing reliable service means critical outages must continue, even during this unprecedented time amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Postponing this critical project may inadvertently create a larger and more dangerous risk. For additional outage information, or to sign up for outage alerts, please click here to visit the SCE site or you may call SCE at (800) 611-1911.

The City of Rosemead and SCE appreciate your patience during the completion of this project. If you have any questions or concerns about this scheduled power outage, please contact the Director of Public Works Chris Dastè at (626) 569-2158 or via email at [email protected]
