Holiday Decoration Awards
Who is ready to bring out and unpack those festive and creative decorations to begin spreading that holiday cheer? The City of Rosemead is about to get a little merrier and brighter! Get into the holiday spirit by nominating your own, a neighbor’s, or business’ property for the 8th Annual Holiday Decoration Awards. The awards categories are as follows: Enchanted Entryway, The Festivity Award, Celebrating Tradition, Christmas with a Twist, and the Marie Spadaro Christmas Castle Award (Grand Prize). To continue to follow the County’s COVID-19 mandates, safe practices, and social distancing, we will conduct a Virtual Holiday Decoration Awards.
Please note the following important information:
- HOW TO SUBMIT: Nominations can be submitted by directly sending an email to [email protected], with a name, address, phone number, and a minimum of three (3) but no more than five (5) photos of the property (clear images and good angles are important). We also encourage applicants to submit photos of the property in the daytime and nighttime so that decorations can be seen in different lighting. All submittals must be emailed. Submittals will NOT be accepted via the City’s social media outlets (e.g., Facebook, Instagram). The deadline to apply is Sunday, December 13th.
- JUDGING PROCESS: The Beautification Commission will judge each nominated property based on the photos submitted. The winners will be announced at the Beautification Commission’s December 17th special meeting. The winning recipients will be presented with a beautiful holiday ornament.
