Virtual July 4th Chalkathon

The Beautification Commission is proud to announce the City of Rosemead’s first-ever July 4th Chalkathon! We invite residents of all ages to display their patriotic pride while beautifying Rosemead in the comfort of their own homes. There is no entry fee. To continue safe practices and social distancing, we will conduct a Virtual July 4th Chalkathon. Chalk is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, with a limit of one per household. Please contact the City Clerk's Office at (626) 569-2177 to obtain a chalk box (Proof of residency is required).

Please note the following important information:

  • HOW TO SUBMIT:  Nominations can be submitted by directly sending an email to [email protected], with a name, address, phone number, age group, and a minimum of three (3) but no more than five (5) photos of the chalk art. All submittals must be emailed. Submittals will NOT be accepted via the City’s social media outlets (e.g., Facebook, Instagram). Participants agree to have a photo of their chalk art posted on the City’s website and social media for future promotional purposes.
