Covid-19 Update

Revised County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health Order
“Responding Together at Work and in the Community”

The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health (DPH) revised its Order to align with the State Public Health Officer’s Order “Beyond the Blueprint for Industry and Business Sectors” regarding indoor mega events and specific protocols for youth sports. To view the updated Order, please click here.

Beginning September 20, 2021, all attendees at indoor mega events involving 1,000 or more persons must, prior to entry, show verification of COVID-19 vaccination status or a negative COVID-19 (diagnostic) test result. This is a lower attendance threshold than the previous requirement of 5,000 participants. Furthermore, for all indoor mega events scheduled on or after September 20, 2021, self-attestation is no longer a permitted method for vaccine verification or verification of a negative COVID-19 test.

Additionally, there are specific infection control protocols for youth sports effective September 1, 2021. Please click here to view Appendix S, which contains the specific requirements.

We take this pandemic very seriously and send our deepest sympathies to those whose lives have been affected by this virus. Residents, business owners, and employees must continue to observe the mandates and prevention techniques outlined in the Order. As a reminder, failure to comply with these provisions constitutes a threat to public health and is punishable by a citation or fine.
