Covid-19 Update

Closure of City Facilities Continue in the City of Rosemead

The City of Rosemead facilities will remain closed to the general public due to increased COVID-19 cases throughout the City and County. City facilities are projected to open again on February 1, 2022. All essential City functions will continue.

“Out of an abundance of caution, the safety of our employees and community members continue to be our top priority,” said City Manager Gloria Molleda. “This temporary closure will continue to be evaluated as we receive updates from the County, and we will allow for essential services to continue while preventing the spread of COVID-19.”

While all of our City facilities will remain temporarily closed to the public, we will continue to provide the following services:

  • Drive-thru Lunch Program for Seniors on Mondays and Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. at the Garvey Community Center, 9108 Garvey Avenue, Rosemead, CA 91770;
  • City Hall (626-569-2100) and Public Safety Center (626-569-2272) facilities will take payments via “Drop off Box” or by appointment only;
  •  The Building Division (626-569-2130) will continue to receive plans and issue permits by appointment only; and,
  • All Winter Recreation classes have been canceled.

We are partnering with the County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisor Hilda Solis’s Office and other organizations to distribute at-home test kits offered at no cost to our residents and COVID-19 testing and vaccination sites in our City.  Please click here to view the information. We are committed to serving our residents by providing them access to these services. Additionally, Los Angeles County is offering a Home Test Collection program to all residents with an at-home testing nasal swab kit.
