NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BEFORE THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD
ON AUGUST 1, 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rosemead Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Monday, August 1, 2022, at 7:00 PM,  at Rosemead City Hall, located at 8838 E. Valley Boulevard, Rosemead. Remote public comments will be received by calling (626) 569-2100 or via email at [email protected] by 5:00 p.m. on August 1, 2022. A live phone call option may also be requested by calling the number provided above. All comments are public record and will be recorded in the official record of the City. CASE NO.:  CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 22-01 Lai C. La has submitted a Conditional Use Permit application, requesting to establish a massage services use located at 2111 San Gabriel Boulevard, Unit F (APN: 5279-008-032), in the Medium Commercial (C-3) zone. Per Rosemead Municipal Code Table 17.16.020.1, approval of a Conditional Use Permit is required to establish a massage services use within the Medium Commercial (C-3) zone.

ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: Section 15301 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) guidelines exempts projects consisting of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. Accordingly, Conditional Use Permit 22-01 is classified as Class 1 Categorical Exemptions, pursuant to Section 15301 of the California Environmental Quality Act.

Pursuant to Government Code Section 65009 (b), if this matter is subsequently challenged in court, the challenge may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Rosemead at, or prior to, the public hearing.
