#2 – Windstorm Updates
January 8, 2025 – Following the severed windstorm that impacted Los Angeles County Region and the City of Rosemead on January 7 and 8, 2025, local authorities and emergency response team continues to work diligently to assess and address any damages caused by the severed windstorm. Public Work crews are focusing on cleanup efforts, while the full extent of the damage is still being evaluated. Preliminary reports suggest widespread fallen tree branches and sporadic traffic signal malfunctions.be
As a precaution, the following City facilities and School Districts will be closed on Wednesday, January 8, 2025:
City Facilities
• Rosemead Community Recreation Center – 3936 Muscatel Avenue
• Garvey Community Center – 9108 Garvey Avenue
• Garvey Park – 7933 Emerson Place
• Rosemead Aquatic Center – 9155 Mission Drive
Schools
• Rosemead School District
• Garvey School District
• Rosemead High School (EMUHSD)
No street sweeping enforcement from Wednesday, January 8 – Friday, January 10, 2025.
