Commission Facts
Qualifications: Commissioners must reside in the City of Rosemead at the time of the appointment and throughout the term in office, and be registered to vote in the City. Commissioners are appointed by the City Council. Commissioners may only serve on one Commission at a time and may not be an elected official of Rosemead.
Terms: Commissioners serve two-year terms that are subject to reappointment.

Beautification Commission (Meet on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.)
Parks Commission (Meet on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.)
Planning Commission (Meet on the first and third Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.)
Public Safety Commission (Meet on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m.)
Compensation: Commissioners receive a stipend in the amount of $100 for each regularly scheduled meeting held and attended.

The City Council represents Rosemead at various regional and State organizations such as California Contract Cities Association, League of California Cities, and other groups by serving on their committee or board of directors.
