Boards, Commissions and Committees


The City of Rosemead is accepting City Commission applications to serve on the Commission vacancies listed below. After reviewing applications, the City Council will appoint members of the community to fill these positions. 

Commission Vacancy - Apply by May 31st
  Applicants selected will serve a two-year term beginning July 1, 2021, ending June 30, 2023.

Traffic Commission Three Positions

  There is currently an unscheduled vacancy expiring June 30, 2022; the applicant selected will serve the remainder of that term. 

Planning Commission One Position

 
Applicants must be over the age of 18 to apply and reside in the City of Rosemead. Interested applicants should complete and submit a Commissioner Application, no later than Monday, May 31, 2021. HOW TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION:  1) Submitting in the drop-box located outside of City Hall during regular business hours Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.; 2) Sending via e-mail to nhaworth@cityofrosemead.org; or 3) Mailing to the City Clerk's Office, 8838 E. Valley Blvd., Rosemead, CA 91770.

Meetings:

  • Beautification Commission meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month in the Rosemead City Hall Council Chamber at 7:00 p.m.
  • Parks Commission meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month in the Rosemead City Hall Council Chamber at 7:00 p.m.
  • Planning Commission meetings are held on the first and third Monday of the month in the Rosemead City Hall Council Chamber at 7:00 p.m.
  • Traffic Commission meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month in the Rosemead City Hall Council Chamber at 7:00 p.m.

Compensation: Commissioners receive a stipend in the amount of $100 for each regularly scheduled meeting and special meeting held and attended.

Committees and Board of Directors for Regional and State Organizations

The City Council represents Rosemead at various regional and State organizations such as California Contract Cities Association, League of California Cities, and other groups by serving on their committee or board of directors. Click here to view the 2019-2020 Mayor's Appointments and see which Council Member has been appointed to represent our community on a regional and State level.

In addition, the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) requires each agency to post a single FORM 806 - 2019-2020 (FPPC Regulation 18705.5 amended 03.2012).
