Housing

The Housing Division oversees the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) funds. These grants are federally funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. 

CDBG

The CDBG program supports community development activities to build stronger and more resilient communities. To support community development, activities are identified through an ongoing process. Activities may address needs such as infrastructure, economic development projects, public facilities installation, community centers, housing rehabilitation, public services, clearance/acquisition, microenterprise assistance, code enforcement, homeowner assistance, etc.

HOME

The HOME program was created to fund a wide range of activities including building, buying, and/or rehabilitating affordable housing for rent or homeownership or providing direct rental assistance to low-income people. 

HUD Reporting Documents (DRAFTS)

The City of Rosemead is preparing to adopt its 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan (ConPlan), 2025-2029 Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI), 2025-2029 Citizen Participation Plan (CPP), and 2025-2026 Action Plan (AP) In accordance with the requirements set forth by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), these draft documents are available for public review. A 30-day period for public commentary will commence on March 20, 2025, and continue through April 21, 2025. Copies of the draft documents can be accessed for public review on the City's website by clicking here as well as at City Hall, located at 8838 East Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, CA 91770. The public is encouraged to submit any written comments or inquiries regarding the draft documents to the Housing Division at City Hall, by email or by telephone, below is their contact information.
