A Development Plan describes how a property is developed. It includes detailed information on the location of buildings, parking spaces, landscaping areas and other improvements. It also shows how the property will be graded, how drainage will be accommodated, and what the building will look like architecturally. A Development Plan is required for all properties zoned PD (Planned Development). A planned development zone may be established to provide diversification in the location of structures and other land uses while ensuring compliance with the General Plan and compatibility with existing and future developments in surrounding areas.
If you are interested in proposing a planned development, please contact the Planning Division at (626) 569-2140 or visit the Planning Division office at Rosemead City Hall, 8838 E. Valley Blvd. Planning Division counter hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
