UPDATE: TROPICAL STORM WARNING IN EFFECT

The City of Rosemead is monitoring Hurricane Hilary and is taking proactive steps to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents. The National Weather Service is forecasting the potential of heavy rains, localized flooding, and tropical storm force winds for the greater Los Angeles County region, beginning early Sunday, August 20th through Monday, August 21st. The Rosemead Public Safety Department is actively monitoring the situation and is coordinating City resources to respond to any issues that may arise. The storm’s biggest impact is expected Sunday afternoon, and residents are encouraged to avoid any unnecessary travel during this time.

  • For power lines, poles, and power outages, please call the Temple Sheriff’s Station at (626) 285-7171;

  • For downed trees on a public right-of-way during regular business hours, please call (626) 569-2262; and

  • For power outages or downed power lines, please contact Southern California Edison at 1-800-611-1911.

  • For fire or medical emergencies, please call 9-1-1.
