RAIN ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR
LOS ANGELES COUNTY AND
CITY OF ROSEMEAD

The Rosemead Public Safety Department is continuing to monitor two significant storms bringing the potential for rain and wind. We urge everyone to prioritize safety and take necessary precautions. Here are essential tips to navigate through the rain:

  1. Stay Informed: Monitor weather updates from the National Weather Service here.
  2. Home Preparations: Secure loose items, check roof and gutters, and secure proper drainage to prevent flooding.
  3. Travel Safely: Avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rain. If you must go out, drive cautiously and be aware of road conditions. Avoid flooded roads and areas prone to landslides.
  4. Sandbags: If your area is prone to flooding, you can obtain filled sandbags on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fire Station 166, 3615 Santa Anita Avenue, El Monte, CA 91731. Properly place the sandbags to redirect water.
  5. Emergency Kit: Prepare an emergency kit with essentials to include water, non-perishable food, flashlights, and first aid supplies.
